Sarah’s Ride Officially Pimped

October 22nd, 2007

After mulling it over for about a year, we finally pulled the trigger and picked out a new vehicle - this silver Jeep Commander Rocky Mountain Edition. There’s no better time to buy than the model year changeover, which is exactly what we did. The downside is finding the model you want from the dwindling inventory.

Sarah scoured the net and finally located the last Rocky Mountain in the Midwest, at least the last one that wasn’t red! Actually this particular dealer had 2 such models, but the V6 we wanted sold the very day we called. This meant we were stuck with the V8 or nothing. V8? Stick a gun to my head why don’t ya! Actually the 4.7L V8 only costs a few bucks more than the 6, and offers equal gas mileage with the cylinder deactivation, plus it can operate on ethanol which is a nice option. As an added bonus you automatically get the upgraded 4×4 system. Then there’s the awesome power and ear pleasing engine growl, that’s not bad either.

We are completely in love with this Jeep. Everything about it is perfect. The looks, the interior design, the triple sunroofs (there are two little ones over the middle row sets, sweet!) the satellite radio, the backup sonar, the power everything.
